Sadeh farm

Rooted in Jewish values, Sadeh cultivates community, grows food, and sows the seeds of change.

Sadeh is a farm and environmental community centre based on Jewish values. Our work is focused on environmental education and regenerative land practices;  cross communal and inclusive Jewish engagement; local and interfaith community building.

Planet first

We take a regenerative approach to land management from our focus on biodiversity to our no dig vegetable beds, our meadows, woodland areas and our aim to continually improve our soil. Read our land manager’s blog to find out more.

Events

Run your own retreat, family holiday or work event in our 16th Century house set in 7 acres or come to one of our events, join our volunteering programme or book an activity.

Education

From week long trips for schools to mini sow your own veggies workshops, pickle making and foraging, we run a variety of educational activities and away days.

What do we do?

From our planet focused volunteer programme to our schools Jewish education trips,
From our waste conscious brewery and pickle kitchen to our sustainable community cafe,
From our Artist-in-Residence programme to our permanent onsite Jewish community,

Sadeh is the community farm for you

Get involved with our volunteer programme or come to one of our events.

These photos were taken by one of our Artist – in – Residence’s Zoe Atiko and our Photographer/Carpenter – sometimes in – Residence Alon Freiberger. We have a range of volunteering work from painting to planting but no experience is necessary.

Regeneration and biodiversity

We are currently developing our community science projects. This includes surveying species onsite from plant to insect to mammal in the different habitat areas at Sadeh. This helps to demonstrate how regenerative land practices can develop biodiversity and improve planetary health which is at the core of what we do.
